PAULA RADCLIFFE

My Immufix Journey

Paula Radcliffe

Paula Radcliffe is widely regarded as one of the greatest female distance runners of all time. During a career spanning more than two decades, she became a multiple world champion, European champion, Commonwealth champion, and one of Britain’s most celebrated athletes.

Among her many achievements, Paula won the London Marathon three times, the New York City Marathon three times, and the Chicago Marathon once. She claimed gold medals at the World Championships, European Championships, and Commonwealth Games, and represented Great Britain at four Olympic Games.

Perhaps most famously, Paula set the women’s marathon world record of 2:15:25 in 2003, a mark that stood for an incredible 16 years and is still regarded as one of the greatest performances in marathon history.

Throughout her career, Paula’s commitment to training, recovery, nutrition, and overall wellbeing played a vital role in helping her perform at the highest level. One product that has remained a constant part of her health and wellness routine for more than 25 years is Immufix.

How It All Began

In 1998, at a crucial point in my athletic career, I was introduced to Brian Welsby, founder of the Be-Well Group, through Olympic champion Denise Lewis, whom Brian had helped support nutritionally on her journey to Olympic gold in Sydney.

At the time, I was struggling with the demands of elite-level training. Brian advised me to alkalise my diet to help counteract the acidic by-products of intense exercise. More importantly, he introduced me to Immufix, then known as Breakthrough, an immune support drink formulated with a carefully balanced blend of vitamins, minerals, and nutrients designed to support optimal health.

What impressed me most was that it was completely natural and formulated in a way that the body could recognise, absorb, and utilise efficiently.

Brian’s advice was simple: take a holiday and have two scoops of Immufix every day.

A Turning Point

By the time I returned from holiday, I felt strong enough to begin training again. A month later, I headed to altitude training, and the results were remarkable.

Just three months later, I won the European Cross Country Championship. The following summer, I went on to win a World Championship silver medal in the 10,000 metres in the brutal heat of Seville.

While hard work, dedication, and training were always at the heart of my success, Immufix became an important part of my overall approach to health, recovery, and performance.

A Daily Staple for More Than 25 Years

Since that first introduction in 1998, Immufix has remained a constant in my life.

My routine has always been simple: one scoop daily, increasing to two scoops whenever I feel run down or need extra support.

Over the years, I’ve also seen the benefits extend beyond my own experience. When my daughter underwent chemotherapy, Immufix became part of her nutritional support. My mother, who lives with rheumatoid arthritis, continues to use Immufix as part of her daily wellness routine to help keep her immune system as strong as possible.

I’ve genuinely lost count of the number of friends, family members, and fellow athletes I’ve introduced to Immufix over the years.

Supporting Athletic Performance

Brian’s expertise didn’t stop with Immufix.

He also helped develop the isotonic, carbohydrate, protein, and recovery drinks that supported my marathon preparation and ultimately helped fuel my personal best time of 2:15:25 in 2003.

Looking back, I’ve come to appreciate just how far ahead of the curve Brian’s thinking was when it came to marathon nutrition and race fuelling. I owe a huge debt of gratitude to his knowledge and guidance, combined with my body’s ability to efficiently process and utilise carbohydrates during competition.

Why We Bought the Company

Years later, good friends of mine — people I had originally introduced to Immufix — shared their vision of investing in the company and improving its production and delivery so that more people could benefit from it.

I immediately wanted to be involved.

One of those friends, Phillippa, had been diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. After being introduced to Immufix, she made it part of her daily routine and hasn’t missed a day since. She credits it with helping her transform her quality of life.

The more we talked about the future of the brand, the more excited we became.

The truth is simple: we loved the product so much, we bought the company.

It may sound like a cliché, but it’s absolutely true.

Looking to the Future

I genuinely believe in Immufix. I believe it can help people support their health, get the most from their bodies, and pursue their goals with confidence and energy.

Our mission is to improve how Immufix is produced, delivered, and experienced, making it accessible to as many people as possible while supporting wellness in an increasingly demanding modern world.

Behind the scenes, we’ve been working hard to refine and improve aspects of the product and its delivery without compromising the principles that made it so effective in the first place.

For me, Immufix remains the perfect daily companion for anyone striving to live life to the fullest and perform at their best.

Proudly Made in Britain
